Our story began nearly four decades ago in the trenches
as we worked in various areas of financial economics as it related to the capital performances of large projects and corporations. The more we worked, the more we honed our analytical skills in these areas, until we developed reputations for delivering sound financial and economic advisories, reports, and studies that increased financial and economic output.
But the strong reputation we developed was not without difficulty, as we tackled problems that were often highly controversial. In fact, it became common for opponents to rise in swarms against our recommendations. However, in every case, our scientific analyses, modeling, and recommendations were proven correct, quickly quenching the spirit of naysayers.
We quickly progressed through cost engineering and business & corporate analyses and modeling into investment analyses and modeling—firmly holding to the scientific method of inquiry. Finally, we incorporated econometrics into the mix, as we investigated both micro-economic and macro-economic variables into our areas of expertise.
Today, we remain in the trenches, behind the scenes delivering unsurpassed investment outcomes, as we continue to serve clients and investors in the way of investment research, advisory, and management—and yes, still using the scientific method of inquiry.
Our offices are located in historic downtown Savannah, Georgia,
just off the Savannah River, where we serve the Southeast Atlantic Coast. Savannah was founded by General James Oglethorpe in 1733 as the first city in what would become the 13th and final colony, as a means of increasing international trade. In fact, Savannah was quick to become known as a world player in the cotton market, establishing much of the world’s cotton prices outside the Savannah Cotton Exchange, a building still standing.
Today, Savannah has developed into a metropolitan city of over 400,000 persons. We host a robust nightlife and multiple corporations, including Gulfstream Aerospace, International Paper, Georgia-Pacific, Imperial Sugar, and other corporations. The metro area is also home to several universities and hospitals, as well as the Georgia Ports Authority, the 4th busiest maritime port in the United States, not to mention numerous estuaries and beaches along the Atlantic Ocean.
